My name is Jacob Cohen and I’m a Mass Communications graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Robertson School of Media and Culture with a concentration in Strategic Advertising.
I’m a marketing professional passionate about telling stories that motivate change. With experience in campaign strategy, content creation, and media production, I’ve worked on creating social media accounts to handling social media rollouts to producing commercials for small businesses. I became interested in this type of work through my passion for sports as I grew up dreaming of running a professional sports organization. However, after taking marketing classes in high school, the dream shifted from running an organization to creating content, whether it was graphics, animations, or videos. Whether I’m helping create a new brand identity, writing copy for a social media post or promo video, or building a website, I bring the energy to create meaningful content through digital and print media.
I’m seeking opportunities in advertising, marketing, public relations, and communications that will help enhance my skills and gain more hands-on experience. My long-term goal is to run and own a freelance communications company that supports local businesses by building their brands and telling their stories.
My resume and examples of my work are below.
